Two new products enter Non-Brand

Two new Performance Max asset groups for the Menopause Bra and the Posture Bra, plus a dedicated Search ad group for Posture. Each product enters through the channel where its demand actually lives.

The starting point

Two products, two different channels

Before choosing a channel we measured how many people actively search for each product on Google. The two products gave opposite answers — and that shaped the entire strategy.

Posture Bra

43,100 searches / month

Explicit, mature demand. People literally type “posture correcting bra” (18,100/mo) and “posture bra” (8,100/mo). Competition is high across every term.

Search + PMax

Menopause Bra

140 searches / month

Almost nobody searches for “menopause bra” by name. The need is real — hot flashes, changing sizes, discomfort — but it doesn’t turn into search queries. A Search ad group here would starve.

PMax only

The takeaway: Posture is attacked through Search, where the intent is already written down. Menopause is attacked through Performance Max, which finds the audience on YouTube, Discover, Gmail and Display — where she actually is, even when she isn’t searching. That’s why the Posture Bra enters through both channels and the Menopause Bra through PMax alone.

Build 1 · Performance Max

Two new asset groups in PMax Non-Brand

Campaign TK_Performance_Max_NB_US_ALL_STORE. Until now this campaign served a single product. Each new asset group isolates its own product by SKU, with its own creative and its own audience signal — so the algorithm learns per product instead of blending signals together.

TrueCool Wireless Menopause Bra

Wire-free bra with knit-in airflow zones and cooling fabric. USD 34.99 · 4.63★ from 273 reviews. The asset group isolates the bra only — the menopause brief is deliberately excluded so a USD 15.99 ticket doesn’t drag the ROAS down.

Creative: 20 images per asset group, with every photo adapted to the three formats Performance Max serves — landscape 1.91:1, square 1:1 and portrait 4:5. Shipping a single format limits where the ad can appear; covering all three opens Discover, Gmail, YouTube and Display without forced crops. Google caps an asset group at 20 images, so the selection was curated deliberately rather than trimmed at random.

Build 2 · The strategy

Audience strategy

In Performance Max an audience signal isn’t a hard filter — it’s a hint that tells the algorithm where to start looking. So each product carries its own signal, pairing who the buyer is (demographics) with what she’s looking for (search themes).

TrueCool Menopause Bra

Women of menopausal age

Menopause typically happens between 45 and 55. Pointing this product at younger women would waste budget — it simply isn’t their stage of life. The signal starts at 45 and has no ceiling.

Daily Comfort Posture Bra

Women seeking everyday support

Concern about posture and back support starts earlier and spans a wider range. Here we open from 35 without reaching down into an audience that doesn’t convert on this product.

Implementation note: the demographic signal is paired with each asset group’s 7 search themes, which carry the intent. One theme — “menopause night sweats bra” — was rejected under Google’s health-in-personalized-ads policy and removed; 7 remain active per product.

Build 3 · Non-Brand Search

Posture_Bras ad group

Campaign SR_US_TK_NB_Bras_2026 · Live This campaign is organised as one ad group per bra category. Posture enters as a new category, capturing the 43,100 monthly searches we weren’t touching before.

Why Exact and Phrase only: broad match in non-brand pulls in generic “posture corrector” traffic — braces, belts and orthopaedic devices that aren’t a bra at all. We start tight and open up based on what the actual search terms show.

Policy-safe language: the product page states the bra does not treat or cure any medical condition. So the copy speaks of support, alignment and standing taller — never of correcting posture or relieving back pain. The keyword “bra for back pain” was deliberately excluded for the same reason.

Brand protection: forme and forme posture were added as negatives — Forme is a competing posture-bra brand with 4,400 monthly searches of its own, and we don’t want to pay for their branded traffic.

Live — and one open decision

All three builds are now serving. The Search ad group went live on July 27; both PMax asset groups were activated on July 28.

Budget is now the constraint

The campaign still runs on USD 350/day, but three asset groups now compete for it instead of one. Two of those three are brand-new and in learning, where they need volume to find their footing. Raising the daily budget to USD 500 gives the new products room to ramp without pulling spend away from the product that already converts. Target ROAS stays untouched at 1.8 — changing it would reset learning across the whole campaign.

  1. Creative uploaded and approved40 images across three aspect ratios, plus text assets on both asset groups.
  2. Asset groups activatedBoth PMax asset groups live as of July 28.
  3. Raise the daily budgetFrom USD 350 to USD 500 so the two new products can ramp. Open item.
  4. Watch the ramp, 5–7 daysMine search-term insights and add negatives as off-product queries appear.
  5. EvaluateRead results at week 2 (August 11) and week 4 (August 25) against CDP data, not the platform report.

On measurement: in non-brand the platform over-counts conversions, because it claims purchases that actually closed on brand. Results are read on CDP, which reflects real revenue by channel.

What to expect early: both new asset groups show Ad Strength “Poor” at launch — normal for a group with no serving history, and it lifts as the assets accumulate data. Watch it, don’t react to it in week one.
